IOn the afternoon of August 5, and at the invitation of Dr Chau Chak Wing – Chairman of Kingold Group, Professor Robert Mundell – Nobel laureate in 1999 and known as the father of Eurodollar visited the headquarters of the Kingold Group.

Mr. Shi Junzhi – Kingold’s President of Financial Investment and Senior Consultant Mr Zhang Zhixiang presented a briefing on the Kingold Group and its plans to enter the banking business. In addition, both sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interests, including the RMB exchange rate, the current sub-prime mortgage crisis, and rural small-sum loans.

Following their informative and productive meeting, Dr Chau Chak Wing accompanied Professor Robert Mundell to visit the Favorview Palace Estate – a premier residential compound developed by the Kingold Group in downtown Guangzhou. Later that evening, Dr Chau hosted a private dinner in honor of Professor Mundell.
